JOB DESCRIPTION:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Manage execution of project in accordance with organization's project management methodology.

Develop, prioritize and submit project plans, budgets and methodologies across a key range of key projects.

Define project resources, performance reviews and post implementation evaluations.

Take ownership of the successful implementation of a set of projects that collectively can comprise a program.

Provide project implementation support for the ANSC global network of plants, as the projects require

Direct support of the execution of the ANQA Enterprise Excellence Strategy, which is global

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define the business results expected from a project.

Is responsible for making recommendations for achieving those results.

Lead the team through the translation of management and customer needs into project goals.

Identify resource requirements, cost and time schedules and participate in the funding process for assigned projects.

Develop an implementation plan, conduct risk assessments, and develop and implement contingency plans to allow for and accommodate unforeseen events and changes in strategy.

Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.

Assure that projects will effectively integrate with existing programs and strategies so that long and short term business goals are attained.

Assure project requirements are met.

Establishes and manages team charter including project timeline.

Participate in identifying project resource needs and funding.

Participate on division initiatives to identify process improvements to accelerate projects.

Interface with other disciplines, customers, internal clients, project staff and internal and external experts as required.

Prepare and present written and oral reports and other presentations to internal and external audiences.

Interact with senior level management to present significant Program strategies and make recommendations.

This specific QualEx PMO role will require extensive communication planning, branding development, marketing and institutionalization of the Strategy and change management deployment.

This role will rely heavily on previous experience of the candidate in the areas of strategy development, deployment and sustainability

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor degree in a discipline appropriate to the project environment with minimum seven years relevant experience. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred. Minimum seven years relevant experience, including business / QA experience. Extensive experience with project management and general business principles required. Extensive experience in the development and deployment of an ‘Area Strategy’ or “Enterprise Excellence Strategy” will be tied directly to the execution of the role.

Demonstrated success in branding, influencing culture and organization on change, change management process competency, marketing of an area strategy is also core to the execution of the role.

Functional understanding of lean processes, lean transactional processes is helpful.

Demonstrated ability to lead large workshop session, including process diagrams and value stream mapping is very helpful in the execution of the role.

Strong, engaging communication skills will be essential to the successful execution of the role.

ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE/BUDGET:

Accountable for the successful completion of project tasks on time and within budget.

Accountable for managing resources (direct and matrix) assigned to the project regarding project tasks.

Includes mentoring and providing feedback within a team and across other groups.

Accountability for ensuring that execution of the strategy and its communication and branding plans are done to schedule and budget.

Capital management may be required at part of this role, so accountability for the capital funds and post implementation audit will be included, as applicable
