University Relations Recruiter will be part of a small team of seasoned recruiting professionals. The role involves devising and executing the campus strategy at colleges and universities across the United States while building and maintaining strong internal relationships with key business stake holders.
University Relations Recruiter will advise the business on recruiting best practices; on-campus event strategy and content; summer intern program design; and candidate selling and closing., The University Relations Recruiter will work with a variety of social media and digital recruiting tools with the support of a collaborative team, both within the recruiting team and in the company.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years' professional, post-college recruiting experience
Coordinate all campus visits and events, including communicating with schools, registering for career fairs, scheduling interviews, and arranging travel logistics
Develop strong and lasting relationships with candidates, academic faculty, career service employees, and any other relevant individuals involved in the recruiting process
Serve as the primary point of contact for campus and entry-level sourcing
Conduct on-campus interviews and solidify interest in and acceptance for internship
Attend conferences and networking events with a clear plan to develop relationships and referral network
Stay up-to-date on competitor firm market intelligence, and ensure that Abbott’s campus recruiting strategy remains competitive and differentiated
Strong social media and digital savvy
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
Ability to work across all leadership levels within the organization including executives
Demonstrated problem solver with strong attention to detail
Experience in customer-facing role and demonstrated ability to build relationships both internally and externally
Working knowledge of technology (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Experience with Workday ATS and CRM tool
Established relationships with Top 50 universities in the engineering space
BA/BS required; MS, MA or MBA preferred.
Eligibility Requirements: Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years staffing experience required.
A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a human resources organization, employer brand communications, marketing or related discipline required.
Strong knowledge of vendor management required; significant vendor management experience preferred.
Quantitative and analytical thinking skills to track and measure ROI, and to collect, analyze and report findings.
Strong capabilities in relationship building, client management, strategic and critical thinking, project management and problem resolution.
Excellent verbal and written communications.
