Primary Job Function
Serves as a division talent and organization effectiveness (TOE) consulting leader. Plans, executes and delivers talent and OE strategies and interventions for the clients including:
Working with the Medical Devices Division Talent and OE Consulting Leader to develop strategy to support the execution of business strategy and the unique business needs of the divisions.
Determining how talent and organization solutions are used to achieve long-term business success and add value to meet organizational needs.
Analyzing, designing and delivering a range of talent and organization solutions, and designing and implementing performance improvement interventions to meet employee and organizational needs.
Core Job Responsibilities
Work with division business and HR leaders to assess, diagnose, plan and implement strategic talent and organization solutions to support business strategy.
Partners with BHR and business leaders to provide talent & organization support to achieve the business objectives.
Measures and reports the impact of talent and organization interventions using evaluation, metrics, focus groups and performance results.
Uses Business Human Resources and business input to develop the annual Talent Development plan.
Acts as true critical-thinking, solution-offering consultant to our organization, a complex multinational corporation.
Proactively works with Talent Development partners to design and implement talent and organization plans. This may include organization/team effectiveness, leadership development and change management.
May lead or participate in talent management-related activities such as division talent management review preparation and facilitation and Talent Management System support
May facilitate leadership team meetings, partner with HR to design interventions for the entire line of business.
Participate in enterprise wide strategic Talent Development/HR initiatives
Estimated 20% travel across US and international Abbott locations
Position Accountability / Scope
Reports to the Medical Devices lead consultant and will work directly and independently with BHR DVPs and Directors. Interacts and partners with:
Business leaders including: General Managers, DVPs, other leaders
HR including: BHR DVPs, Regional/Affiliate BHR and HR Directors
L&D Talent and Organization Consulting colleagues and L&D practice center colleagues
Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in L&D, OD or related field preferred
Minimum Experience / Training Required
10 years of progressive learning and development experience in a variety of disciplines including OD, consulting, org design, training, leadership development, talent management, performance management and change management.
Experience working in large, complex global organizations.
Experience in large professional services consulting preferred.
