Abbott Global Procurement Logistics Department is looking for a

Manager Procurement Logistics Region EMEA

The position can be based in Weesp/The Netherlands, Maidenhead/U.K. or Wiesbaden/Germany.

Primary Job Function:

  • Leads EMEA region logistics (freight&distribution) procurement strategy development as Subject Matter Expert, category management and provider partnership development

  • Proactively seek and lead innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service levels

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior EMEA region procurement operations ensuring satisfaction to division supply chain leads and region providers:

  • Researches and evaluates products and suppliers

  • Develops bids and proposal formats

  • Executes RFPs via SciQuest and AbbottSource

  • Performs value analysis on costs and supplier quotes

  • PO change management and evaluate the cause for change

  • Support invoice error resolution

  • Enable supplier integration and KPI's.

  • Drive value and lead savings outcomes

  • Supports the development and completion of contracts, statement of work and standard operating procedure.

  • Ensures all Abbott procurement policies and procedures are aligned with internal stakeholders e.g. Legal, Risk Management, Division SC etc.

  • Supports the commitment of company funds for logistics services

  • Recommends process improvements to streamline for efficiencies

  • Lead the development of logistics contracts, statement of works and standard operating procedures aligning with Procurement policies and division requirements.Requires understanding of operations.Requires understanding of providers needs and expectations.Facilitates discussion and compromise development between key stakeholders including procurement, division supply chain and providers.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelors Degree preferably in Supply Chain or Business

  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in the logistics category (freight/distribution) or other related supply chain field

  • Mastery of excel including proficiency in excel macros

  • Proficient communication skills; verbal and written for recommendations and presentations

  • Solid project management skills

  • Strong initiative, work ethic and problem solving skills

  • Ability to network through organization

  • Fluent in English, business fluent in Dutch or German preferred
