The ideal candidate, preferably an MD graduate, will play an pivotal role while strategizing with our customers and diagnostics sales executives to implement clinical improvement. The role provides opportunities to interface with and influence physicians and key stakes holders based on individual experience, education, and knowledge. This role collaborates with appropriate hospital committees to define best practice protocols, help create clinical decision support, algorithms, socialize practice change, and influence change in the laboratory service level.

  • In partnership with strategic sales leaders and physicians, The Clinical Technical Solutions Specialist must gain understanding and complete a clinical assessment of the customers’ business objectives and strategies to support development of a Total solution offerings.

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal teams and external

  • customers to coordinate the development of solutions offerings.

  • Engage in complex scientific communications and building relationships with healthcare customers / physicians.

  • Enables engagement and provides support to physicians regarding laboratory services.

  • Ensures full value of Abbott solutions is realized and grows be effectively engaging physicians.

  • Enables differentiation from competitors and encourages broader investment in laboratory medicine by demonstrating the financial viability of such investments. Interfaces with physicians to create clinical and financial gains.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Surgery, Health Sciences or Clinical Medicine with 3 to 7 years’ experience working with clinical decision support systems, clinical guidelines or diagnostic support frameworks

  • MD preferred with 5 to 7 years’ experience working with clinical decision support systems and clinical guidelines

Travel: 60% plus
