Primary Job Function / Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead all operational aspects of ETMR and BOD Talent Reviews, including project management, execution, and delivery of confidential materials. Establish tools, processes, training and KPIs to ensure quality standards and timelines are met; develop improvements for ease and efficiency. Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with BHR and within Talent Development.

  • Establish and advance the talent analytics strategy and related initiatives and processes focused on talent pipeline strength. Manage the creation and delivery of highly confidential talent data reports and complex analytics. Interpret results and provide insights to guide approaches and investments to strengthen critical leadership and functional talent pipelines and related talent initiatives. Proactively establish requirements for new dashboards, predictive studies, data, and reports needed to focus managers, BHR, and Talent Development on impactful approaches to pipeline development.

  • Manage selected Talent Management Programs/Processes including MBA Full-Reimbursement, Officer Talent Goals, Executive Talent Dashboards, “Best of” requests, and others as identified. Identify needs and outcomes, research best practices and benchmarks, establish processes, communicate and manage change/implementation, and create KPIs and reports. Work with HR DVPs to ensure consistent implementation and deployment; provide direct support and solve problems.

  • Define, document and implement processes and cross-training across Talent Management to provide efficient and accurate talent support to the business, Business HR, L&D, and other HR practice centers.

  • Define and produce Talent Management operational metrics and KPIs

  • Manage Talent Management vendor selection, contracting/records, and SOW/PO data entry and tracking.

  • Manage ad-hoc request response and fulfillment including requirement clarification, stakeholder management, solution development and implementation, and material development, meeting all timelines and maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Deliver accurately on compressed timelines with no margin for error.

  • Lead and continuously develop a highly motivated and cross-trained team.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 7-10 years operational project and process management leadership

  • 5-7 years HR management experience; Abbott BHR/HR experience strongly preferred

  • Advanced Excel capabilities required; statistical analysis and Access database experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and solve problems in a highly matrixed environment required

  • Subject matter expertise in succession planning, talent analytics, and Workday Talent preferred

Accountability/Scope:

Reports to the Director, Talent Management

  • Independent research, planning, implementation, and maintenance of talent related processes; oversee others who manage processes day to day

  • Create and deliver materials for CEO, Executive Vice Presidents, and BOD talent reviews

  • Accountable for accuracy of reports, metrics, and other materials with EVP HR, CEO, and BOD visibility

  • Regularly works with highly confidential and sensitive talent and performance information, including officer level

  • Engaged with all divisions, geographies, and levels
