Primary Job Function:

The Manager - Healthcare TSD (Technical Solutions Design) position is responsible for setting the strategic direction and managing execution of the TSD team. The manager will provide guidance on how to educate health care providers (from public hospitals to private integrated delivery systems) to drive cost efficiencies; operational productivity; clinical effectiveness and make smarter decisions that improve quality of care. The TSD Manager will cultivate Abbott internal relationships and leverages TSD to drive the broader business objectives for ADD

and Pan-Diagnostics.

Core Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

  1. In conjunction with the Area DVP and Enterprise Director; develop; communicate & gain buy-in for; and

execute a nationwide TSD strategy.

  1. Define and manage key selling and delivery behaviors for the TSD organization

  2. Define and manage the sales cadence and pipeline for the TSD organization

  3. Actively align efforts with internal stakeholders to include General Managers; CE Directors;

Enterprise Directors; and Service Directors

  1. Actively engage in top opportunities through field travel and direct customer interaction

  2. Manage the development and presentation of Executive proposals (strategic; selling; solution design; implementation; etc.) Measure “Customer Value Realization” and act accordingly to ensure each engagement

meets customers value expectations

  1. Be knowledgeable about industry trends; changing market regulations and healthcare policy within

defined customer segment.

  1. Build and preserve key customer relationships

  2. Ensure the team has the proper tools and knowledge to negotiate contracts resulting in long-term

commitments

  1. Integrate insights from ongoing business analysis and assessment into a multi-year plan and lead

through persuasion and personal influence an internal ‘selling’ team to develop an actionable account strategy

with short-term tactics to achieve desired results

  1. Ensure the TSD organization meets departmental goals and budget.

  2. Ensure Abbott total TSD solutions are positioned and executed and that customer advocates and

references are developed

  1. Ensure the TSD Organization follows the approved strategic sales processes

  2. Provide leadership; direction; training and development of the TSD organization

  3. Provide leadership and guidance to the marketing team to develop the TSD portfolio and enhance

supporting materials / proof.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree is required.

Minimum Experience / Training Required:

Strong critical thinking and problem solving

Strong team leadership skills

Strong internal and external networking skills with executive presence

A minimum of 5 years healthcare business development and engagement sales experience required

A minimum of 7 years of progressive advancement in sales experience

Previous & successful experience of sales management and employee development

• Experience with building business on current accounts and creating new profitable accounts

• Experience in selling consultancy services

Experience in performance management
