The Senior Manager, Analytics & Information Management will partner with divisions to define analytics objectives, success metrics for analytics projects and ensure delivery of those projects by managing execution on analytics studies, proof of concepts and pilots utilizing an agile development process. Additionally, the Senior Manager will guide division on how to use insights and interpret results to drive adoption and share best practice across all divisions.

This position reports directly to the Divisional Vice President, Business Analytics & Information Management. This is a strategic position that leads change, improves consumption of analytics, design education/awareness programs to support mindset change to data driven decision making.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep the divisions and business units informed on the Advanced Analytics trends in the industry.

  • Cultivate transparency across business sponsors by increasing access to data by adopting data discovery and visualization techniques with advanced analytics.

  • Identifying the enabling capabilities (methods, processes, tools and data platforms) and analytics services to be offered across the organization.

  • Ensure delivery of all Analytics and Information Management POC/ pilots by leading data analyst teams, data modelers, insights engineers and IT team (when applicable). Measures values, optimizes the solution and documents the solution to support transition of capabilities.

  • Work collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently with stakeholders to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals, resources across multiple stakeholders, project priorities, and organizational initiatives.

  • Implement, administer, and support easy to use, agile analytics environment and use of it with divisional and functional team.

  • Design and drive education/ awareness program to support building analytic capabilities at Abbott.

  • Recommend initiatives and capabilities to create an analytics culture and produce new insights that anticipate future business needs and deliver value.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related area.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in master data management, data quality analysis and statistical analysis in a business critical environment.

  • 10+ years of total career experience.

  • An individual who can attract and retain quality people to the organization and develop and motivate these individuals into a cohesive team.

  • High degree of executive maturity. A high level of confidence and self-awareness in the face of adversity and change.

  • Strong organizational skills to define work projects and set them in motion. In addition, the ability to organize the team's composition, structure, hierarchy and functioning is an essential trait to develop a successful team.
