Summary:

The primary role of the Senior Scientist Technical Support is application of technical knowledge in a post-market product support environment through complex experimental design, data mining/analysis, adherence to Quality, Regulatory and Safety procedures/policies, project management skills and communication to team/management. This position will lead and consult on multiple complex projects including expanded investigations, design changes, resolving on-market product problems and resolving technical issues to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction. Continuously monitor/measure/analyze performance throughout the product lifecycle, make recommendations based upon conclusions and execute action plans.

Responsibilities:

Technical Knowledge:

  • Uses product design information to determine root causes in post-market investigations and constructing feasible corrective action plans/design changes

  • Independently designs complex experiments, analyzes data, forms conclusions and accurately documents work for investigations and product improvement

  • Applies immunoassay and other analytical/biotechnological expertise to assess/measure performance attributes

Quality/Safety:

  • Maintain training to ensure compliance to job role

  • Adhering to governing operating procedures regarding all assigned projects, documentation and record keeping

  • Support Risk Management Files

Planning/Project Management:

  • Independently plans, organizes and executes complex as part of expanded investigations or corrective actions

  • Coordinates with groups outside immediate work area to complete deliverables, holds those individuals accountable for task completion

Patient Focus:

  • Tracking and evaluating testing results to monitor data trends

  • Completing product monitoring evaluations

  • Support closure of customer complaints by providing review, analyses and associated documentation

Communication/Leadership:

  • Provide status updates to peers and managers within the team and between functional areas

  • Interact with other manufacturing sites and customers to resolve technical issues

Business Focus/Alignment:

  • Resolve technical issues that threaten safety stock and/or customer satisfaction

  • Develop solutions to improve efficiency and cost for associated products and processes

Requirements :

  • Minimum Education Higher Certificate; Ordinary or Honors Bachelor degree in scientific and technical field is desired or relevant combination of education and experience.

  • 4 years’ related work experience. Advanced degree preferred. (Advanced degree(s) may offset required years of experience).
