Position Summary:

The Senior Specialist - Contracts & Pricing is responsible for ensuring contracts are consistent with overall pricing strategies that ensure goal achievement, while maximizing, assuring customer satisfaction, meeting legal guidelines, and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all proposed contracts are properly aligned with Marketing objectives and to provide direction on marketing strategies, national account contract and pricing strategies, and systems support.

  • Responsible for preparing proposals/bids and negotiating contracts in response to sales opportunities.

  • Lead the prioritization of work across the department, balancing the demand for work against business priorities, risks, strategic growth areas, and resources.

  • Responsible for developing creative proposals and contracts for various sales channels, while ensuring contracts meet legal guidelines and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.

  • Qualify sales opportunity for appropriate business contracting arrangement while providing decision support to sales and marketing teams to enable management of businesses while protecting Abbotts interest and profitability.

  • Manage pricing data including printed and electronic Price Catalogs, printed and electronic Terms and Conditions, and for price increases, act as a liaison between sales and marketing organizations, as well as providing proper communication of actions to the entire organization.

  • Ensures compliance with governmental/domestic regulations, as well as monitoring a report of sales transactions for customers to ensure they are not below government or contract pricing.

  • Responsible for informing and coordinating with others within Abbott, the terms and conditions within individual contracts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in finance or related field

  • Min 6 yrs of exp in contracting, pricing, finance, customer relationship management, analysis or related field

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Strong communication skills
