Senior Search consultant role encompasses all stages of executive recruitment such as partnering with business stakeholders, other talent acquisition professionals and HR business partners on succession planning, recruitment strategy, developing executive candidate sourcing strategies to ensure we are identifying, targeting and engaging with the best in class talent in the market place.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Senior Search Consultant is responsible for managing executive searches for Director level roles and above for Abbott’s US businesses.

  • Partner with BHR and Hiring Managers directly to develop sourcing strategies and deliverable plans.

  • Source candidates directly, utilizing database resources, referrals, research, cold calls, search engines, community networks, conferences and other creative methods for finding executive talent that match business requirements.

  • Provide market feedback to Hiring manager and his/her executive teams regarding talent and talent market trends, search approaches, and candidate quality.

  • Negotiate offers and provide sound guidance to executive candidates during the negotiation process, all while making sure that we are providing the best in class candidate experience for our candidates.

  • Serve as the recruiting team's expert on candidate research strategies.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing and recruiting strategies consistent with our company’s recruiting brand to meet business objectives.

  • Excellent skills in building rapport with candidates as well as Business leaders, by acting as a strategic business partner and talent advisor.

  • Important to proactively source, screen and develop talent pipeline for executive leadership roles.

  • Proactively seek out competitor industry information, market trends and best practices to continue improve the processes.

  • Ability to identify candidates and present them to business leaders for the right opportunities

  • Follow up with candidates as well as hiring managers to ensure hires are made within reasonable time.

  • Responsible for keeping informed on business’ current and future needs and plan to address any upcoming recruiting needs.

  • Uphold strict confidentiality about available positions and other sensitive information.

Accountability/Scope:

Accountable for achieving both team and individual quarterly and yearly goals which includes but not limited to, time to fill, quality of slate, cost avoidance to business, quality of hire etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Work history should include minimum 5+ years of recruiting experience.

  • Experience in interacting and presenting directly to senior leadership teams.

  • Excellent candidate relationship management skills.

  • Highly experienced in development of project databases and reporting with metrics.

  • Team player, sales mentality, high integrity, strong negotiation skills.
