Primary Function:

An EHS professional who applies established principles, practices, regulations and internal standards, interacts with customers and is solutions minded in completing EHS assignments.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Plans and conducts assigned projects; Coordinates and monitors activities and projects.

  • Assists planning and monitoring status of implementation for those assigned to project; makes judgments regarding quality of implementation.

  • Facilitates the the definition of a project scope with stakeholders

  • Estimates and coordinates resources needed to accomplish assigned individual tasks

  • Jointly responsible for achieving the projects EHS targets in support of business objectives.

  • Applies technical knowledge/skills to EHS programs and systems

  • Benchmarks internally across the organization

  • Interprets problems and recommends solutions

Education/Years of Experience:

  • A Technical or Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering Science, Nursing (Masters Nursing degree preferred) or closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with a desired 2+ years of relevant experience.

  • Additional post graduate education may contribute towards the desired years of experience.

  • Professional certification(s) desirable.


  • Demonstrates a baseline understanding and practice of behaviors outlined in the Abbott Competency Cluster
