Primary Job Function: Serves as a division talent and organization consulting leader. Plans, executes and delivers talent and organization strategies and interventions for the clients including:
Working with the Corporate Functions Division Talent and Organization Consulting leader to develop strategy to support the execution of business strategy and the unique business needs.
Determining how talent and organization solutions are used to achieve long-term business success and add value to meet organizational needs.
Analyzing, designing and delivering a range of talent and organization solutions, and designing and implementing performance improvement interventions to meet employee and organizational needs.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Work with business and HR leaders to assess, diagnose, plan and implement strategic talent and organization solutions to support business strategy.
Partners with Business Human Resources and business leaders to provide talent & organization support to achieve business objectives.
Measures and reports the impact of talent and organization interventions using evaluation, metrics, focus groups and performance results.
Uses Business Human Resources and business input to develop the annual Talent Development plan.
Provides consulting support to Business Human Resources and/or key customers and stakeholders on executing key talent and organization strategies. The key stakeholders/internal clients are the senior leadership team and HR business partners for the Corporate functions.
Acts as true critical-thinking, solution-offering consultant to our organization, a complex multinational corporation.
Proactively works with Talent Development partners to design and implement talent and organization plans. This may include organization/team effectiveness, leadership development, team development and change management.
May lead or participate in talent management-related activities such as division talent management review preparation and facilitation and Talent Management System support.
May facilitate leadership team meetings, partner with HR to design interventions for the entire line of business.
Participate in enterprise wide strategic Talent Development/HR initiatives.
Estimated 20% travel across US and international Abbott locations.
Position Accountability / Scope:
Reports to the Rapid Molecular Diagnostics & Corporate lead consultant and will work directly and independently with BHR DVPs and Directors. Interacts and partners with:
Business leaders including: General Managers, Division Vice Presidents, Corporate Officers and other leaders
HR including: BHR Division Vice Presidents, Regional/Affiliate Business Human Resources and Human Resources Directors
Talent and Organization Consulting colleagues and Talent Development practice center colleagues
Master’s degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, OD or related field preferred
Minimum Experience / Training Required:
7 years of progressive talent development experience in a variety of disciplines including OD, consulting, organizational design, training, leadership development, talent management performance management and change management
Experience working in large, complex global organizations
Experience in large professional services consulting preferred
Proven success in collaborative leadership and working with executive leaders and internal HR partners
Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize and effectively manage multiple complex projects concurrently within a fast-paced environment
