Primary Job Function
Increase Abbott IA/CC Market Share by assisting sales team in placing instruments within an Area. Utilize and develop workflow tools and
strategies that will increase instrument placements, while maintaining USO profitability goals. Execute and manage workflow projects within
the defined scope. Initiates projects and leads them to achieve defined business objectives. Hands over project results to the sales team,
customer, management or other department. Projects may vary in scope and length.
Core Job Responsibilities
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Utilize effective workflow tools to increase profitable placements. Responsible for performing a workflow study utilizing Lean Transactional
Process, tools, and best practices. Analyze data and produce report of solution(s), then present to sales team and customer. Execute
strategies to exceed workflow goals. Creates, implements and communicates plans and vision. Execute national strategies. Provide
leadership through direction, motivation, product, industry, competitive, and company knowledge. Utilize both written and verbal
communication skills to provide clear direction. Ability to teach others best practices in workflow as well as laboratory efficiency. Maintain
fiscal responsibility and complete each year under expense plan with a primary goal of exceeding current workflow plan.
Position Accountability / Scope
Responsible for representing Abbott Diagnostics and their products in a professional, forthright and ethical manner to exceed their individual
workflow goals within corporate guidelines. All of their actions should be focused on total customer satisfaction
Sales results. Working with the sales organization to meet or exceed our sales goals. Impact of action if not met: performance review merit
status, bonus/compensation, and loss of company market share.
Completing all administrative responsibilities in an accurate and timely fashion. If not met: less expertise of overall business, performance
review merit status, and a less productive workflow team.
Bachelor’s degree. Our customer base is made up of people with a minimum of a four-year degree and most have advanced degrees such
as M.D., Ph.D. Masters, MTASCP, Etc. These customers do expect a certain level of competency from their business partners.
Minimum Experience / Training Required
In-Depth knowledge of Hospital laboratory operations - financial and operational. Experience working in IA/CC equipment market. Technical,
laboratory or process engineering experience. Lean Transactional Business Process trained. Six Sigma certification is preferred. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills. Strategy, planning and execution skills. Coaching and personnel development skills. Motivational
and leadership skills. Understanding of our customers and the products they use. Financial analysis skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft
Office software and experience in Layout/Design tools (CADD).
