Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager, HCP is responsible for managing and executing the professional continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) portfolio. This position is focused on driving the adoption of professional CGM to both endocrinologists and primary care physicians. In this role, you will work closely with field and home office based colleagues in Marketing, Sales, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Regulatory, Legal and Compliance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work within Abbott regulatory and legal compliance guidelines.

  • Partner with marketing, sales training and sales teams to develop promotional, educational, and training materials.

  • Partner with marketing leadership to develop a strategic plan leading to adoption of professional CGM.

  • Provide product support to sales force and assist in meeting sales objectives.

  • Identify and track market trends, provide guidance on market opportunities.

  • Manage day to day progress of projects.

  • Team up with analyst to build out market projections and forecast for professional CGM.

  • In partnership with marketing and sales leadership, evaluate alternate sales channels to drive penetration for professional CGM.

  • Use classic marketing capabilities : market understanding, market segmentation, product positioning, message development, channel identification, tool and communication creation and execution to further business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 4 years’ experience in marketing ideally in a similar industry. Sales experience and prior distribution experience preferred. Also, critical for success: Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation and listening skills). Comfortable with clinical content both translating and promoting. High energy level and positive attitude; confidence integrity and professionalism initiative and self-motivation; strong work ethic career ambition organizational skills and attention to detail strong problem solving skills leadership and team orientation; ability to work others; ability to work in a highly-matrixed environment.
