Abbott Established Pharma Division (EPD) is looking for a
Project Manager Strategy
for our global Pharma Headquarter based in Allschwil/Basel, Switzerland
The EPD Strategy department is looking for a Project Manager in order to strengthen its capabilities in defining and implementing relevant and impactful strategic initiatives across the Division. The purpose of this role is to execute and manage projects & initiatives driven by the EPD Strategy group.
Developing, managing and executing activities/projects for the end to end rollout within the Pharma Strategy Team, that is reporting to the Executive Vice President EPD.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Actively take part in ongoing Strategy Projects
Perform and lead internal and external business analytics
Establish baseline of spend, manufacturing and development mapping – putting this in a system working closely with IT
This will include putting together supplier database as well as internal manufacturing capability database.
Managing large databases of products in EPD
Data collection from various stakeholders across geographies
Identify and problem solve for missing pieces
Close coordination with IT and other stakeholders
Execution of activities and sub-projects with key stakeholders
Drive weekly updates and agreed action items
Challenge owners to execute action items as per timelines
Push execution of decisions regarding projects
Ensure and coordinate sound ground work preparation for launch with markets
Work with various stakeholders to ensure alignment always
Prepare, Discuss and Publish dashboards to stakeholders and leadership on agreed frequency
Dimension of the role:
Overall responsibility for execution across project areas. This is done in a very complex and dynamic environment involving multiple cross functional stakeholders. This includes collection of data, preparing and publishing dashboards, communicating with key stakeholders, P&L work, data analysis, executing of project plans, debottlenecking issues related to projects, stakeholder management in line with business goals, strengths and capabilities.
Graduate from a reputed institute; MBA or PhD from a reputed institute highly preferred
Minimum Experience/Training Required:
3-5 years of total experience required, of which at least 2 years in management or strategy consulting with a top tier firm (e.g. McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy& etc.)
Prior experience in being part of strategic projects and cross functional teams is a must..
Prior experience in pharma / healthcare industry strongly preferred
Experience within Operations Projects, TPM and Supply Chain a big plus
Project management skills
High quality problem solving skills, business acumen, industry knowledge
Data analytics and quantitative skills
Effective communication and influencing skills
Bring in urgency to the tasks at hand
Ability to multitask and work within a matrix organization
Being adaptable towards new situations and having an out of the box approach
Accountability for delivering high quality results
Language requirement: Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
