Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD) is looking for a
Finance Manager - FP&A
As a member of the EPD FP&A team you will contribute to provide financial support and transparency to senior management. You will generate insights into our markets and affiliates and highlight risks and opportunities, strengthening EPD’s governance and therewith contributing to EPD’s success.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the monthly report to Abbott’s / EPD’s senior leadership and to Corporate Finance.
Prepare the Board of Directors (BOD) and Investors Relations (IR) packages with clear and concise key messages and support stakeholders on follow up questions.
Lead and coordinate Divisional budgeting & Quarterly Confirmation process.
Critically review the Business Areas’ latest best estimate, attend in budget review meetings and assess risks and opportunities.
Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the latest best estimate package to Abbott’s / EPD’s senior leadership and to Corporate Finance.
Support on ad hoc analyses or projects for Abbott Corporate Finance and \ or EPD senior management.
Work on best practices to improve tools and processes.
The Finance Manager is accountable for the quality and timeliness of financial reports. He/She is in contact with the EPD Finance people in the Business Areas as well as other functions in the Division and guarantees good and accurate communication with Abbott Corporate Finance leaders.
Responsibility includes consolidation of Total EPD (sales $5MMM and Division Margin $1MMM).
Consolidation of +80 countries in 10 regions.
Detecting risks and opportunities early in the year, propose measure to protect Abbott’s assets.
Monthly market Reports and monthly Corporate Finance Reports for CEO, CFO, IR and Board of directors.
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Business administration or equivalent, MBA preferred.
Minimum Experience/Training Required:
7 years of experience in a finance position, preferably within an international pharmaceutical company
Excellent analytical skills and good numerical reasoning
Very good excel & SAP knowledge
English mandatory, additional languages appreciated
Good executive communication skills
Planning & reporting, P&L and Balance sheet consolidation
US GAAP / IAS
Understanding of Pharma business incl. Manufacturing, Sales Force, Marketing
Strong work ethics
Well-developed organizational and planning skills
Work efficiently and independently
Excellent team player with high service orientation
Strong Communication skills
Passion to innovate and lead continuous improvement initiatives
