MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
The primary function of Medical Science Liaison, R&D, is to be the scientific subject matter expert of Adult Nutrition presenting nutrition science to internal and external stakeholders.
Serves as a scientific resource to commercial partners as appropriate to support activities such as medical/nutrition congress staffing, advisory boards, and training intiatives
Builds and manages relationships with external key opinion leaders (KOLs) aligned to business needs and manages the KOL engagement plan and KPIs
Prepares the marketplace in new areas of interest, which includes creating awareness and relationships for Abbott in the medical community
Inputs and maintains internal reports as it relates to activities in the area of responsibility
Works with internal stakeholder to develop and execute a plan designed to support and meet shared business objectives
Supports the medical and commercial team with any other ad hoc activities that are required by the business
Serves as a medical/scientific resource to healthcare providers through answering clinical questions, and addressing other clinically related medical information issues.
RD with MS or PhD Degree - In human nutrition
Minimum 3 years - Clinical practice; experience in academia/industry/post-doc.
