OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sr Finance Manager is a key leadership role within the Pediatric Nutrition team that is responsible for forecasting and modeling consumption and shipments for the Infant Nutrition business. The individual will perform planned and ad hoc analysis and build forecast models utilizing demographic intelligence data as well as shipment and consumption reports. This individual will also work closely with marketing leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate impacts of promotional activity, innovations and competitive impacts to market and share. This individual will be responsible for working closely with the Pediatric Nutrition finance team to achieve all financial deliverables as well as working across marketing leadership to gain alignment to the forecast models.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • DevelopConsumption forecast models:Evaluatebothinternal and external impacts and build into aforecast model for Infant Nutrition market and share. Strong analytical and forecasting skills are required as this role must build and gain alignment to their forecast acrossthePediatric Leadership team.

  • Deliver Meaningful Financial Forecasts : Translate Consumption forecast into a sales and shipment model taking into account price per equivalized unit ($/EQ) as well as inventory levels throughout the retail channels. Understand, analyze and report $/EQ and inventory level changes throughout the retail environment and incorporate into financial forecast ina transparent manner. Foresee potential opportunities/risk and prepare contingency plans in advance.

  • Maintain an external outlook:Focus on internal and external impacts to our business and build forecasts not only for Abbott but alsoformain competitors.Understand howcompetitive actions drive sales forthe competitionas well as their impact to our sales, market, and share. Provide insights and projection toInvestor Relationsto drive conversation on growth expectations for Abbott andthemarket as a whole.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 8+ years accounting and financial planning experience. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.

Proficient with financial modeling, systems, tools including Excel, and COGNOS
