Abbott Molecular (AM) has a new opening for Sr. Financial Analyst Global Marketing and Service. This role will support AM’s Global Marketing, Global Service and Commercial Excellence organizations by acting as key business partner of the Senior Directors for each group. Provide financial planning & analysis and reporting needs for each of these organizations and ad-hoc support for R&D. This position also develops business cases for key strategic priorities including full P&L forecasts and DCF/ROI valuations. Primary responsibilities include reporting and analysis of financial results, completion of quarterly rolling LBEs, management of service and SG&A spending and gross margin improvement initiatives.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Coordinate the quarterly rolling LBEs for Global Marketing, Global Service and Commercial Excellence
Coordinate monthly reporting of actual performance results
Provide budget support to supported teams
Provide analysis of budgets vs. multiple benchmarks resulting in conclusions and recommendations to organization to change behavior in execution and/or forecast methodologies.
Identify and implement margin improvement initiatives and spending prioritization to assist business partners to meet or exceed their goals.
Provide ongoing analytical and budgetary support
Provide strategic support to the Global Commercial Controller to assist with long-term strategy development
*THIS POSITION MAY BE FILLED 1 LEVEL LOWER BASED ON CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE*
BS in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum Experience / Training Required:
6+ years of progressive Finance or Accounting experience required.
Experience with TM1, SAP preferred.
Ability to work with business leaders to facilitate execution of goals and planning/forecasting activities.
Ability to assess the reasonableness of expense forecasts and accurately project spending activities
Proven ability to identify root causes of variances and recommend behavioral changes to maximize results going forward.
Ability to manage multiple planning, forecasting, and analysis activities and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to analyze existing processes (transactional, financial planning, administrative, etc.), identify opportunities for improvement, and significantly reduce the amount of human capital involved in non-value add activities.
