Abbott Health Economics & Reimbursement Specialist in Diegem, Belgium

For our growing Structural Heart division, we are recruiting a Health Economics & Reimbursement Specialist .

Essential job responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of EMEA market access strategies including value stories for new products or indications in collaboration with Global HE&R and local teams under the supervision of EMEA HE&R Director.

  • Support development and implementation of HE&R strategies and value stories in EMEA geographies in ad hoc fashion

  • Manage HE&R SH EMEA projects related to the product portfolio or individual therapies

  • Manage directly Task Forces related to specific projects e.g. Value Based Procurement

  • Participate / co-lead cross divisional projects related to HE&R, VBHC or other type of market access activity.

  • Represent HER function in cross-functional meetings within the SH Business Unit and provide the necessary HER inputs.

  • Monitoring of EMEA health policies related to market access including reimbursement and funding systems, Value Based Health care and value based procurement.

  • Supervise HE&R interns.

  • Represent Abbott HE&R EMEA team at European Manufacturer Association, MedTech Europe.

  • Manage relationships with HE&R vendors and consultants linked to projects

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree in sciences + Degree in business studies (Master / Diploma) or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the HE&R field in industry or consulting

  • Solid knowledge and understand of European health policies and reimbursement systems

  • Solid analytical skills, creative solution thinking, flexibility and team work

  • Good planning and project management skills

  • Strong analytical and strategic skills

  • Strong knowledge in MS office

  • Fluency in English (any additional language is an asset)
