Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Structural Heart CALA Commercial and Finance teams meet their Commercial and Financial sales, growth, division margin and other targets through financial close process, budgeting process, trend analysis, tool creation and implementation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor the Commercial and Financial performance of CALA regions & products, compare the Plan and LBE vs Actual results, analyze market trends of the products, profitability and contribution of each product and suggest actions to correct and/or optimize results.

  • Prepare the Plan and LBE for CALA HQ, monitor Actuals, and compare Plan and LBE vs Actual results for CALA HQ.

  • Consolidate LBE and Actuals numbers from CALA regions, and prepare Financial Reports for CALA HQ Management Review.

  • Consolidate various report submissions from CALA regions, verify accuracy and reasonableness, and submit to Division HQ.

  • Prepare the Daily Sales Report, which includes daily, monthly, quarterly and annual Sales Revenue, Sales Units & Average Sales Price data by country and by product.

  • Prepare the Monthly Polaris Report, which includes Sales Revenue, Sales Units & Average Sales Price data by country, by account, by sales rep, and by product.

  • Develop other reports, dashboards, key performance indicators, etc as required, and act as the Subject Matter Expert for CALA Finance data.

  • Manage Dodeca system data, including uploading and retrieving data in the system, and reconciling the Dodeca system data with other ERP system data to ensure data accuracy.

  • Work with CALA HQ Finance management to calculate and track Bad Debt Reserves, and Inventory Obsolescence Reserves.

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IT systems (e.g. HFM, Dodeca, SAP, etc), and act as the central point of contact for troubleshooting issues that arise between IT and Finance.

  • Monitor user access for all CALA IT Systems (e.g. Dodeca).

  • Train new and existing users on how to use Structural Heart IT systems.

  • Create reports / dashboard with managerial information for Structural Heart products considering local and international requirements.

  • Create tools to monitor and track the COGS, SG&A expenses, etc and analyze trends and comparisons vs other regions.

  • Perform Gross Margin Analysis to ensure profitability of all product sales.

  • Act as the central point of contact for all audit requests, ensuring no material misstatements of financial results.

  • Act as leader for the business, approaching in entrepreneurial fashion, and putting in place initiatives that will drive sustainable growth for CALA Structural Heart.

Minimum Qualifications

B.S./B.A. or equivalent required.MBA or equivalent preferred. Fluency in English, Spanish, and / or Portuguese.

  • Past experience in Sales and Finance setting required

  • Emotional intelligence and cultural awareness required

  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite, especially advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels required

  • Ability to form partnerships with Div HQ, cross functional partners, regional and international contacts required

  • Familiarity with Essbase, Dodeca, SAP, and HFM preferred

  • Health care industry understanding / experience preferred

  • Proven success in entrepreneurial environment preferred
