For this exciting and growing division, we are currently looking for a Regional Controller Nordics & Benelux to strengthen the team
Primary Objective of Position
To provide financial planning, reporting, control and support to ADC’s Nordics and Benelux Region. Provide financial advice to the country management teams. Ensure that commercial activities are maximized and delivered based on sound financial analytics. Collaborate with Finance support services teams to ensure effective provision of local financial reporting of actuals and adherence to all local / Corporate financial policies and procedures.
To comply with the company’s policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality and business requirements within the overall strategy and objectives of Abbott Laboratories Ltd.
Responsible for ensuring management and control of ADC’s Nordic and Benelux countries P&L
Lead preparation of quarterly LBE forecasts and other ad hoc financial deliverables for Nordics and Benelux region. Validate and consolidate country submissions, providing support in preparation of Regional/ Country review books, financial slides and related back-ups.
Assist Countries/Region in the monthly IBP (Integrated Business Planning) process, driving the sales unit forecast and the financial forecast as well as preparation of the IBP deck.
Manage and control department expenses and ensure that month end process and accounting entries are accurately reflected.
Act as lead for financial reporting tasks such as Daily sales, Sales forecasts, Month-end flash reporting and Gap analysis.
Provide specific support in the BS, Capital, Cash Flow Reporting and improvements (Primarily DSO and DOH planning & reporting activities).
Assist Regional Management through ad hoc reports and analysis in order to highlight risks and opportunities and to provide business related insights.
Work to continually provide process improvements that benefit both/either our countries or Region North and provide improved efficiency and/or efficacy.
Provides leadership and personnel development to both direct and indirect finance team members across the region.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Finance/Accounting related discipline. MBA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA desirable.
Highly analytical, with an eye for detail but always having in mind the big picture.
Organization & Planning skills: able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
Strong commitment, willing to take ownership of problems.
Dynamic, motivated team player with a result oriented attitude.
Must have excellent system skills, aptitude and experience, especially with Excel.
Fluency in English is required, fluency in other languages a plus.
Mid level professional with progressive experience within various Controlling, General Accounting, Commercial Finance or Operational positions; minimum 3 year of related work experience in a multinational environment (e.g. Business Accounting, Finance/Planning or Audit).
Impact of position
The Financial Manager is accountable for providing management timely and accurate financial data granting integrity and consistency of the figures. Working closely with the Finance Shared Services to ensure effective control of ADC finances, in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
This position will support the ADC Nordics & Benelux Regional director and country management teams.
The role has dotted line reporting responsibility to the EMEA area controller.
