Primary Job Function
Reporting to the Country Manager. The Market Access Manager is responsible to proactively assess trends, policies and emerging issues and develop strategies policies and actions to effectively address issues that impact Abbott’s business operations.
Core Job Responsibilities
Develop Market Access strategies based on the commercial impact of emerging policies from the Ministry of Health.
Review and analyse legislative and executive branch/regulatory activities in consultation with appropriate business and personnel to assess the level of impact to the local business.
Monitor the environment to anticipate changes and develop recommendations to manage opportunities/threats.
Deliver market access campaigns for Abbott’s key brands
Provide strategic input into sales and marketing plans
Support Affiliates by helping to address Governments & Payers cost containment measures
Build relationships through proactive engagement with strategic publics impacting on market access e.g. payers, procurement, policy-makers, patient groups, KOLs etc.
Identify key targets, prioritize resources network with the NHS staffs
Identify and develop programs to prepare/stimulate the market to be more receptive to the uptake of Abbott brands.
Deliver market access projects as requested.
Budgetary Responsible for ensuring tactical programs within agreed spending limits.
Liaise closely with all relevant functions (including Marketing, Medical, Supply chain, Commercial Operations, and Communications).
Pharmacy/Medical degree is a must.
Previous experience as market access, Key account management is preferable
Access to the key account and central medical stores is preferable .
Strong business acumen.
Strong communication skills .
Ability to coordinate and lead without authority. Supply chain management and inventory control .
Tender business experience, therapy area experience are added values .
