The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for engaging with prospects and customers to generate new and expansion sales opportunities through qualification of inbound/outboundleads. In this role, the Inside Sales Representative will work closely with a regional sales team to connect customers with sales representatives to facilitate the sales process. The Inside Sales Representative will maintain and be expected to consistently meet monthly and quarterly lead conversion goals and regional bookings targets.
Be the front line for all incoming leads within a specified regional geography
Using various marketing programs and campaigns, generate qualified prospects through excellent lead follow-up, mining, and nurturing.
Have the ability to perform outreach activity by effectively engaging customers who have never been an Abbott Client or has not been a client in several years.
Convert qualified leads to opportunities. Generate incremental opportunities from leads to drive incremental business growth.
Utilize internal and external data resources to conduct tactical research on organizations and contacts to help drive quantity of new contacts and subsequent sales opportunities.
Manage lead pipelines with persistent focus to obtain, drive, and win business within the specified geography.
Meet regional and organizational goals with exceptional time management skills.
Utilize Sales Force to accurately and effectively track activity and update lead, account, and opportunity information, as appropriate.
Maintain strong knowledge of the organization's products and services, and build interest by understanding the needs of the customer and offering appropriate solutions.
Help coordinate contract changes or amendments post original sales contract closure.
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years workforce experience
Familiarity with the sales process and proven success in a sales environment including lead follow-through, prospecting, quoting, closing, and excellent customer support.
Prior sales or direct customer support experience including technical or sales troubleshooting is required.
Ability to have working knowledge of general laboratory practices including complex workflows, sample preparation, hardware operation, hardware maintenance, data analysis, and reporting.
Capacity to absorb complex information and apply it accurately and quickly in driving sales
The ability to apply knowledge of business practices, methodologies, and/or principles in the execution of short-term deliverables and sales results. Ability to conduct independent research and data mining.
Experience and ability to build and maintain cross-departmental, multi-functional and collaborative relationships.
Knowledge and experience MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel) required.
Experience with Sales Force or an equivalent CRM solution.
