Abbott Diagnostics Latin America and Canada area has an opening for a Finance Manager. This role will provide financial support for the Transfusion and Professional Services Business Unit’s in Latin America and Canada Commercial Area as well as act as the area lead on some of the key strategic projects.
The individual will interact with the LAC Area Professional Business Unit directors, area finance team, as well as local country General Managers and finance teams. The individual will need to focus on understanding the product offerings, local business dynamics, as well as establishing efficient processes and tools to effectively analyze and support these new business units. In addition to supporting the business unit directors the individual will act as the area lead for strategic projects/initiatives such as margin improvement, cash flow improvement, and other projects.
A). Provide financial support to the Transfusion and Professional Services Business Unit including establishing metrics, analytical tools, and reports to assist the business unit leads in profitably managing their business.
B). Develop and implement efficient processes and reporting capabilities for the Transfusion and Professional Services business unit and present insights to the business unit leadership and area teams. This includes sales and departmental forecasts.
C). Interact and partner with area, country and headquarter teams to ensure alignment on strategy and finances
D). Provide project leadership for area strategic projects such as margin improvement, cash flow improvement, and other projects as directed by the Senior leadership teams.
Education and Experience:
At a minimum, this role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. An MBA or CPA are preferred.
At least 6 years of Financial experience in the areas of Financial Analysis, Auditing and/or Treasury, and overseeing projects.
Strong organization and communication skills as well as demonstrated ability to influence others that do not have a direct reporting relationship are critical. Demonstrated ability to bring the numbers to life by presenting financial information to non-financial professionals in a clear and concise way is essential. Additionally the ability to speak another language such as Spanish or Portugese and experience in supporting an international business is preferred.
