The Abbott Diagnostics Division (ADD) Corporate Financial Services (CFS) Manager will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of monthly/quarterly global consolidated financial results for ADD which represents $4.1 billion in net sales. This role is also responsible for coordinating internal/external audits and interactions with tax, while ensuring strong and effective financial controls are in place and executed.

In addition to formal financial processes, this individual will be responsible for providing accounting support and guidance, ad-hoc requests and will interact with finance professionals across all towers, organizations, and senior management.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Corporate and Divisional deadlines are met for Actuals reporting, and that the Division’s financial statements are accurately stated.

  • Manage the month-end close process, assisting the organization as appropriate to ensure accurate results and financial records, including topside HFM journal entries and tie-out of system data.

  • Consolidation of the total ADD Income Statement and Balance Sheet commentary.

  • Monitor the internal control process and provide support and guidance for compliance with Corporate Finance Manual and internal controls.

  • Coordinate the worldwide Division Sarbanes Oxley process with all the applicable ADD and Corporate organizations, coordinate the Division’s internal and external audits, and Corporate Tax requests.

  • Be the liaison between Shared Services and FP&A.

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ADD global systems such as CCI/HFM and Symphony SAP, providing support to users as first point of contact.

  • Streamline processes to improve efficiency and achieve cost savings initiatives.

  • Supervise, develop and coach a staff of 2 finance professionals.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA or MBA preferred.

  • 8 years of progressive accounting/financial experience.

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as this role interacts with domestic and international organizations within ADD, all Finance towers (including FP&A, Shared Services, CFS), and ADD senior management.

  • The individual must be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently.

  • Able to work under pressure, consistently meet deadlines and direct activities on several projects at one time.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint skills and previous experience with HFM/SAP is a plus.

  • Audit experience preferred.
