The Marketing Manager, Hematology, USA, is responsible for leading a marketing organization through launch of new Hematology technology for high, mid, and low volume labs. This leader must drive success of key transformational projects and programs to aggressively grow share in the US Market.
The Marketing Manager, Hematology, USA, is responsible for:
Geographic scope is United States of America
Leads strategic efforts and directs initiatives to deliver sales enabling environment throughout launch of new Hematology technology. This includes collaborating with various stakeholders to establish priorities and alignment, define and deliver implementation roadmaps, gather end-user and key stakeholder feedback, ensure utilization and use metrics to assess the effectiveness of platforms and tools.
Oversees team and instill commercial focus to develop and execute measurable, multi-channel communications strategies, digital campaigns and sales enabling events to support the commercialization of Abbott solutions across the USA.
Directs Customer Engagement Experiences that Enable Sales
Leads team to efficiently identify, plan and execute key stakeholder conventions, events and education programs across diagnostic market that maximizes impact of the launch of new Hematology technology. Builds Abbott brand through exceptional program execution with high attention to detail and quality.
Measures and applies program effectiveness metrics as basis for continuous improvement.
Leads and Develops Team
Hires, develops and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.
Responsible for ongoing development to align with evolving business needs and capabilities. Experienced in talent development, coaching, recruiting and performance management.
Liaison effectively with marketing teams both in global headquarters and within the US organization, in a matrix organizational design to bring strategies to fruition
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree ideally in one of the following fields: Marketing, Business Administration, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology. MBA Preferred
Experience & Skills:
10+ years of experience in marketing and communications, Healthcare industry, and/or medical device experience preferred.
Product launch experience required.
Experience supervising marketing teams, specifically managing marketing resources and producing results through others.
Exceptional leadership skills, provide mentoring and development to direct reports and able to work effectively through the direct report to accomplish goals and objectives.
Experience prioritizing and managing communications initiatives across multiple functions and/or business units. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and diverse business model.
Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing. environment -- multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong project management, team skills, and influential management.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and meeting assigned deadlines.
Ability to travel, approximately 40%.
