Australia has a complex mixed trade Pharmacy channel with National/Regional Chains, Banner Groups and Independent Pharmacies in the mix which call for a highly skilled sales team. Pharmacy Sales Force will negotiate directly with the independent pharmacies and the smaller buying groups.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Pharmacy Sales Representative to support the expanding Pharmacy businesses within the Nutrition Division in Victoria. This territory covers the Northern suburbs of Victoria, spanning Epping, Mill Park, Broadmeadows, Laylor and Glenroe.
Manage territory and execute sales actions plans
Grow Abbott's sales at Pharmacy, focusing on the priority products and developing a sustainable preference amongst Pharmacies for Abbott, and
Work with the Key Account Manager to execute the commercial strategy
Other Core Job Responsibilities include:
Have a solid knowledge and understanding of the customers in the territory: sales, sales potentials, organization, purchasing criteria, and deliver Field intelligence to Marketing
Develop a strong network in the territory, ensuring that all key influencers are frequently visited with management. Develop and establish relationship.
Share best practices and insights internally, with management and sales counterparts, with Marketing and if relevant, with Aged Care and Hospital Team and Peadiatric Teams.
Develop a thorough business plan for the most strategic pharmacies
Set SMART objectives for each visit
Use commercial policy and value proposition to determine strategy and tactics to maximize customers' growth and commitments towards Abbott
Execute store-checks, check stock levels and follow-up sell-out data at each visit.
Understand accurately pharmacist's needs and expectations, opportunities and threats for Abbott, competition's practices
Customize approach to customers when relevant. Properly execute programs.
Demonstrate to Pharmacists the profit they will realize thanks to Abbott's value proposition
Ensure that Abbott's brands are effectively available in store, visible, and actively recommended
Plan territory call to achieve targets while targeting high sales areas for maximum growth.
Achieve agreed daily territory coverage fundamentals including: Customer call reach
Provide territory coverage plans and sales reports as required,
Develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
Produce a monthly territory Forecast for new business opportunities (and for current business) with existing and potential clients including competitive threats to existing business.
Coordinate with ANI management on product supply inventory requirements and managements.
The relevant experience and knowledge/education is required:
Knowledge of the retail Pharmacy landscape, key players, their needs and expectations
Demonstrated experience in high level sales and negotiation across a varied customer base with strong close of business and maintenance of accounts.
5+ years of sales experience
3+ years of sales experience in the pharmacy retail sales, working closely with customers to deliver results
Experience in OTC FMCG and/or Retail preferred
Good understanding of Trade Marketing activities
Highly driven person with a strong motivation to build a career with Abbott Nutrition within and outside of Australia
