Job Purpose :

  • The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for developing the commercial plan of the channels based on the needs of the brands in the point of purchase, the understanding of the shopper in his/her channel and the commercial calendar of the key accounts.

  • Responsible for developing the point of purchase strategies to drive our brands growth, especially on our key Accounts, while understanding the categories and channels as a whole.

  • Is also responsible for developing the strategies towards execution by brand, leading the execution model for the company.

Responsible for achieving the right implementation (perfect punch) of our strategies, launches and sales fundamentals (distribution, price, merchandising, shelving) at the point of sale, via Trade marketing.

Essential Job Responsibilities & KPI’s :

  • Develop knowledge of shopper for the modern channel.

  • Assure the development of category strategies at the point of sale for our main Accounts and supervise the tactics according to the brand’s effort priorities.

  • Lead the correct management of the Promotional Fund maintaining it aligned with brand and Trade strategies.

  • Build a deep analysis of Accounts and brands, in order to increase company knowledge of trade opportunities.

  • Develop constant ways of improving the execution of Customer strategies by key account and brand.

  • Determine annual launching and promotional calendar, based on brand effort priorities and sales needs and keep the company informed of it.

  • Maintain constant communication with internal areas, such as marketing, finance, supply and general management about his/her channel, brands and Customer performance and best practices, always looking ways for improving our business.

  • Support key accounts and national sales accounts manager with information and strategies on their annual business plans with Accounts.

Identify the best promotions for each category and suggest alternatives to implement them in Abbott, according to corporate commercial and marketing plans.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree. Post grade is an advantage

  • 90% English

  • Minimum experience required: 3 to 5 years as a Trade marketing Coordinator Manager and experience on field sales demonstrating consistency in results deliver.

  • Skills in the key leadership factors for the business administration such as: analysis and problem solving, communication, proactive and follow, through creativity and innovation, Team work player, priority management, high sense of urgency.

  • Negotiation skills at higher levels into our and Customer’s Organizations.

  • Key communication skills.

  • PC and software knowledge.

Knowledge about our main commercial partner’s (Self-services) policies, purchasing procedures, sales and payments, as well as their business strategies.
