Abbott Senior Marketing Manager - Molecular (UK, Benelux & Nordics) in Maidenhead, United Kingdom

Abbott Molecular are recruiting for a Regional Senior Marketing Manager for UK, Nordics & Benelux, to support the Molecular sales organisation’s success across this region. Working within a fast-paced matrix organisation, the successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Managing Director as well as the relevant Country Managers and Enterprise Director to develop a deep understanding of the sales organisation, market trends and competitive environment, to effectively support the business through marketing plans and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate creative and resourceful thinking, and be able to strike an appropriate balance between strategic input and operational, hands-on activity.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the regional annual marketing plan based on global and area marketing plans, as well as requirements from regional and local markets;

  • Developing Abbott Molecular’s footprint in the areas of STI and HPV screening;

  • Preparing regional launch plans and business cases;

  • Managing the regional marketing budget;

  • Performing regular regional market analysis in terms of sales, relevant market trends and competitor activities;

  • Planning and implementing regional marketing initiatives to achieve targets and show ROI;

  • Encourages the exchange of ideas between the countries within the region;

  • Proactively shares insights across the business to influence decision-making, and applies insights consistently to meaningfully differentiate our business;

  • Helps to develop and implement digital solutions for the labs.

Requirements:

  • Scientific background preferred with additional experience in business administration;

  • Experience of both local and regional marketing, including experience of in-depth marketing analysis and preparation of associated business cases;

  • Diagnostics experience preferred, including experience of digital data in Diagnostics and understanding of regional markets;

  • Fluency in English is essential, an additional European language would be advantageous;

  • Candidates will need to reside in one of the countries within the region, and with good transport links/close proximity to a major airport;

  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time;

  • Experience in applying a broad range of marketing tools successfully with a focus on digital communication;

  • Cross cultural awareness.
