Overall Job Description

The Medical Affairs Manager provides medical expertise and support on matters relating to Therapeutic Area(s)/ of responsibility to Marketing, Sales and other internal stakeholders. The role supports the Medical Director in establishing the local Medical Strategy Plan and its implementation for the TA of responsibility and ensures the correct interpretation and communication of scientific data on the Company's products through efficient performance of medical advisers team. The Medical Manager also advocates patients' needs and safety.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Medical/ Scientific Affairs

  • Leading the team of medical advisers supporting several TAs

  • Communicate and align with Regional and Global Medical Affairs functions

  • Develop local strategic medical plans in line with product Life Cycle Management plans and oversee execution (including the production of local publications, planning and conduct of local Advisory Board meetings, scientific events etc.)

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with top Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in corresponding TAs to provide efficient support and development of the company strategy

  • Assure high-quality medical expertise to Regulatory Affairs/Pharmacovigilance/Quality Assurance/ Market Access/ Business development through the medical advisers’ team

  • Handle medical issues and requests from Russian authorities

  • Budget responsibility for medical affairs activities

Qualifications, Competencies and Attributes

  • Medical Doctor

  • PhD as a plus

  • 3+ years of relevant clinical practice, research, academic and/or pharmaceutical industry experience

  • Medical expertise across a broad-spectrum portfolio would be appreciated

  • Experience with publication activities, congress presentations, and public speaking

  • Ability to liaise with KOLs and establish relationships

  • Proficient communication skills and ability to proactively seek solutions in cross-functional collaboration

  • Strong conflict- management/ problem-solving insight

  • Strategic thinking and decision- making acuity

  • Good knowledge of the local health and international care market, able to identify healthcare trends in the corresponding therapeutic areas

  • Unquestionable personal and business integrity
