Abbott National Sales Manager in Moscow, Russia

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Maximize the Division’s Sales and Margin revenue, through building, management and motivation of Russian sales team whilst liaising closely with the BUD, Marketing team, and other functions in the Russian affiliate and in the region. To build and realize commercial strategy for Russia. Support the leadership team in the development & implementation of strategic & operational plans.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver sales and margin goals for the division

  • Manage budgets within agreed parameters

  • Recruitment, organization and optimizing performance within the division sales team

  • Contributing to and delivering divisional strategic goals

  • Identifying opportunities, supporting key accounts, distributors and customers, and driving the contracting process

  • Coaching and developing the KAMs

  • Assist in the identification of new product opportunities and ensuring suitable launch and activity strategies

  • Identifying key training and development needs within the division, and building training plans to develop competence/capability of the team

  • Ensure compliance with the Abbott/industry codes of practice

  • Work with leadership team to establish key relationships with industry/ customer groups within business strategy and company code of practice

  • Ensure compliance with all activity and sales goals

  • Customer target and segmentation, potential analysis and territory realignment

  • Build SFE and quality reporting in the field Delivering sales&activities goals

  • Identify best in class partners for Product; recommend and find replacement partners in markets where we can strengthen our current business operations

  • Drive excellence in wholesaler cooperation and tender management

  • Organising sales conferences and divisional meetings

  • Recruitment, retention and development of people

  • Manage performance issues in a fast, fair and transparent way

  • Regional opinion leader development

  • Liaising with key professional bodies

  • Talent management and succession planning

  • Assisting marketing develop campaigns

  • Motivation of sales team

  • Assist in forecasting and budget planning

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Higher education, preferably in business or medicine

  • Leadership and management experience.

  • Sales Management / Market access experience essential

  • Understanding of regulatory, medical and commercial functions

  • Must have negotiating/ contracting ability/ experience

  • Must be a skilled presenter

  • High computer literacy

  • Understanding of healthcare and pharmaceutical markets

  • High expertize in endocrinologists community is a plus
