Position title: Manager/Sr Manager – Direct Material

Department : Procurement

Reporting to Associate Director Procurement & SCE

Functional Relationship: Yes

1. Supply continuity

Expected results: Uninterrupted source of supply of ingredients.

Control Information ​: Vendor Development and Know-how of key Ingredients

2. Contracting:

Expected results ​: Negotiate new contracts or renegotiates existing contracts with manufacturing Suppliers to meet company savings/standard costing objectives

Control Information ​: Negotiations in line with company​ strategies.

3. Purchase price variance management

Expected results: Budget vs. Actuals ​

Control Information ​: Monthly tracking and reporting in Essbase

4. Continues improvement:

Expected result: Responsible for the strategies and programs to minimize the cost of materials and services.

Control Information As per identified projects ​​efforts in executing cost reduction / gross​ margin improvement programs using internal and external resources.

5. Alignment of India region with division purchasing strategies

Expected result : Primary interface / liaison with division procurement organization as and when required

Control Information ​ : Interaction with global category managers

6. Manage supply risk :

Expected result: To establish sourcing strategy document in line with business requirements

Control Information ​ : Monthly cross functional and procurement meetings on follow-ups and closure on the action points

7. Supplier relationship management

Expected result: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers both locally and worldwide.

Control Information: Leverage relationships to satisfy strategic procurement requirements for the corporation.

8. Business Analytics

Expected result: Market and Supplier Intelligence. Liasoning with global procurement and external agencies. Industry Best Practices & Benchmarking. Competitive Intelligence Cost Modelling Price Forecasting Risk Analysis Spend Analysis Value Chain analysis Supply.

Control Information: Monthly presentations.

9. Compliance to AN Procurement Policies

Expected result: Procurement in compliance with policies and procedures. Ensure compliance to the Global Purchasing Policy and maintain all necessary documents to ensure transparency and audit compliance.

10. Imports & Exports Compliance:

Expected result: Experience in handling all accounts & import/Export. Expertise in Export/Import Documentation (BLs/Invoice/Packing List/etc.) Experience in handling customs & government bodies and other related institutions related to imports and exports.
