Responsible for the acquisition, planning, inventory, organization, qualification, preventative maintenance, repair, and documentation for inventory of test fixtures, measurement equipment, and product under test used by Product Development department. Position would require interface with Manufacturing, Quality, Metrology, and other cross functional groups as necessary.
Major, On-Going Responsibilities:
Coordinate test equipment inventory tracking and facilitate distribution and collection of equipment to lab personnel
Perform approved qualification procedures on test fixtures and product units under test
Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated per designated schedule
Evaluate and repair failing test equipment and document unscheduled maintenance activities
Coordination of equipment needs across the Product Development department, identify equipment shortages, and work with management to budget and acquire needed materials
Support engineering by assisting in the purchasing of components and equipment
Work cross functionally to ensure that the documented equipment records and labeling are accurate and currentExperience & Training:
Associate’s Degree in Electronics or related experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics, metrology, or computer field. Must have basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics theory. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, frequency counters, and logic analyzers. CAD experience for PCB or IC development desired.
Medical device experience valued.
Must possess good verbal and written English skills. Strong mechanical /machining skills a plus.
