WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • The Group Marketing Manager is the core marketing owner and driver of the success for the Amplatzer product line in the Structural Heart business unit.

  • This role will focus on marketing strategy and launch for the within the U.S. Will work closely with the sales team and will be managing others.

  • Responsible for aspects of US strategy development and execution - includes Forecasting, Financial and Marketing Plan Development, Sales Materials, Pricing, and Materials Management.

  • Will maintain product expertise for Amplatzer products/franchises, including market sizes/trend share, customer needs and targeting, product performance/benefits/weaknesses/positioning.

  • Provide on-going field support and will focus on growing the market development for Amplatzer and related structural heart product areas, including successful product launch and execution.

  • Maintain US market expertise for Amplatzer and relative Structural Heart technologies, including in-depth knowledge of US competitor products and strategies, market trends and dynamics, market/franchise critical success factors, and customer needs.

  • Develop strategies and plans to drive product awareness and market development.

  • Develop and update annual marketing plans/strategies including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT or situation assessment.

  • Create and develop US specific strategies for new product commercialization.

  • Support launch readiness by developing product inventory timing, marketing programs, and working with communications manager to develop promotional collateral.

  • Take a leadership role on project teams to work closely with the project team to drive accountability and team achievement of goals and milestones.

  • Manage creative agencies to plan, develop, and execute new US materials.

  • Partner with regulatory colleagues in the review and negotiation of materials to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Develop, plan & update US forecasts and justification for respective product lines worldwide and present to BU senior management.

  • Work with clinical team to develop and drive strategic publication initiatives within the US.

  • The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of US Marketing Structural Heart and will have primary marketing and budget responsibility for Amplatzer products.

  • In this core Marketing role, the Manager will drive and be held accountable to deliver Sales, Margin, and goals for designated products.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • B.S., Marketing, Business or Science. MBA preferred.

  • Five year’s marketing experience – medical device or similar industry highly preferred.

  • Travel required 30-40% of the time.

Preferred

  • Prior leadership/management experience strongly preferred.

  • Job requires substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication skills.

  • Knowledge/ability to develop and execute a "new" product launch.

  • Must be able to understand technical and scientific information.

  • Must be willing to understand and comply with Regulatory requirements.

  • Must be able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product awareness and projects.

  • Must be able to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
