WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Group Marketing Manager is the core marketing owner and driver of the success for the Amplatzer product line in the Structural Heart business unit.
This role will focus on marketing strategy and launch for the within the U.S. Will work closely with the sales team and will be managing others.
Responsible for aspects of US strategy development and execution - includes Forecasting, Financial and Marketing Plan Development, Sales Materials, Pricing, and Materials Management.
Will maintain product expertise for Amplatzer products/franchises, including market sizes/trend share, customer needs and targeting, product performance/benefits/weaknesses/positioning.
Provide on-going field support and will focus on growing the market development for Amplatzer and related structural heart product areas, including successful product launch and execution.
Maintain US market expertise for Amplatzer and relative Structural Heart technologies, including in-depth knowledge of US competitor products and strategies, market trends and dynamics, market/franchise critical success factors, and customer needs.
Develop strategies and plans to drive product awareness and market development.
Develop and update annual marketing plans/strategies including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT or situation assessment.
Create and develop US specific strategies for new product commercialization.
Support launch readiness by developing product inventory timing, marketing programs, and working with communications manager to develop promotional collateral.
Take a leadership role on project teams to work closely with the project team to drive accountability and team achievement of goals and milestones.
Manage creative agencies to plan, develop, and execute new US materials.
Partner with regulatory colleagues in the review and negotiation of materials to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and compliance.
Develop, plan & update US forecasts and justification for respective product lines worldwide and present to BU senior management.
Work with clinical team to develop and drive strategic publication initiatives within the US.
The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of US Marketing Structural Heart and will have primary marketing and budget responsibility for Amplatzer products.
In this core Marketing role, the Manager will drive and be held accountable to deliver Sales, Margin, and goals for designated products.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
B.S., Marketing, Business or Science. MBA preferred.
Five year’s marketing experience – medical device or similar industry highly preferred.
Travel required 30-40% of the time.
Prior leadership/management experience strongly preferred.
Job requires substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication skills.
Knowledge/ability to develop and execute a "new" product launch.
Must be able to understand technical and scientific information.
Must be willing to understand and comply with Regulatory requirements.
Must be able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product awareness and projects.
Must be able to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
