We are seeking experienced, high caliber Quality Technician II. This position will provide Production and engineering support to a wide variety of departmental operations.

The Hours will be -- 4pm to 2:30am

2nd shift Quality Technician II will be responsible for the following:

  • Production line support in both ISO Class 8 clean room environments and non-controlled environments

  • Routine audits of Production pertaining to process controls

  • Paperwork review for GDP errors.

  • In-process testing through use of tensile equipment and flex bar scope.

  • Parts/component inspection (dimensional testing with lab equipment, visual inspection, etc.)

  • Support of Engineering in assessing nonconformances and product returns

  • Routing change orders for process and documentation updates

  • Independent projects (for line improvements and quality updates)

Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand Abbott’s makertplace success:

  • 2 year technical degree preferred

  • 2- 4yrs experience in Quality and Inspection Support

  • Proficient computer, data analysis and report writing skills

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

  • Occasional overtime could be available
