Abbott Point of Care develops, manufactures and markets critical medical diagnostic and data management products for rapid blood analysis. The i-STAT System is an advanced, portable diagnostic tool that provides real-time, lab-quality results within minutes to accelerate patient-care decision-making. Job Summary

The Manager, Global Commercial Analytics is a key strategic business partner to Marketing and Sales who is responsible for providing business understanding and driving data driven decision making. Specifically, the Manager will proactively identify critical business drivers / opportunities and develop recommendations to guide strategy and sales execution, as well as shape the definition of success, develop KPIs and assess key in market initiatives. Additionally, the Manager will integrate and/or triangulate multiple sources to develop innovative solutions to complex unstructured problems. The Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining Business Intelligence tools. As part of the Global Commercial Excellence organization, the Manager will also be instrumental in developing and rolling out best practices and associated business processes.

An ideal candidate for this role will have experience in developing insights through analyses, a proven ability to partner with senior level executives, shape business decisions, and collaborate across functions.

Job Location

This position is location at Abbott Point of Care (APOC) US Commercial Headquarters in Princeton, NJ. No relocation assistance is available.

Position Responsibilities

  • Directs and conducts complex analyses leveraging and integrating data from multiple sources (e.g., CRM, Saleforce.com, Cognos, Power BI, etc.) and different types of data sets (e.g., structured and unstructured data) to develop actionable insights to guide the business, marketing and sales teams

  • Proactively identify critical business success metrics, providing analytical and strategic support to key initiatives

  • Develop local market or account based insights based on data and the integration of field intelligence, and customer and marketing research, while leveraging these insights to inform strategy, tactics and execution.

  • Collaborate with business partners in the planning, execution, tracking and assessment of key initiatives based on insights and recommendations. Guide and align key business partners on KPIs, the definition of success, method of assessment and the potential impact for initiatives.

  • Conduct deep dives on specific topics within a sales area, country, account or product to identify root causes, identify opportunities and define solutions.

  • Develop, monitor, and report on key analytics associated with marketing and sales that are aligned to performance, key tactics, and strategic priorities

  • Partners with field sales, Global and US Commercial Marketing, Forecasting, Finance and International colleagues to identify business needs and drive data-driven decisions.

  • Build commercial knowledge management and case tracking system and act as business owner of tools and processes to drive global commercial operational support, while building business understanding.

  • Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures and guidelines.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.

  • Adhere to and promote Abbott Code of Business Conduct

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics Market Research, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Social Science, Business or other Scientific degrees or equivalent required

  • Advanced degree in Business Analytics Market Research, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Social Science, Business, other Scientific degree or equivalent preferred

  • 6+ years of experience

  • Advanced Excel knowledge is required

  • Experience working with Salesforce or CRM data preferred

  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau and Cognos is preferred
