Abbott Supply Chain & Data Analytics Manager in Rome, Italy

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively oversee the flow of inventory throughout its lifecycle to guarantee an accurate forecast (via ADS submission) measured against the Italian affiliate main KPIs for both Institutional and Retail business

  • Build a solid and trustful collaboration with Marketing, Sales and Finance to optimize demand plans even in the events of sales upsize or material/product shortage challenges

  • Proactively manage the inventory to keep it with the longest available shelf life, manage eventual overstock and proactively manage product shortage along the full value chains and in collaboration with other affiliates

  • Manage the reporting of inventory in BPCS/SAP APO: this includes demand forecasts, work orders, inventory receipts, fulfillments, and reverse logistics

  • Review invoices and pay bills, manage inventory and take actions concerning product obsolescence and promotional materials

  • Establish a set of KPIs and continuously improve the inventory management processes (ie lead time, inventory turnover, transportation delivery)

  • Collaborate with marketing, Sales and Finance to match Forecast Accuracy, DSO and DOH targets, minimize back-orders and product obsolescence

  • Efficiently manage the external logistic provider to ensure the expected OTIF objective and shipments within the time range agreed in the distribution agreement

  • Proactively manage the external logistic provider to ensure annual improvements and efficiencies able to be translated in resources available to be invested for our consumers

  • Organize the Monthly Local S&OP aligning all the critical business functions (ie marketing, Sales, CS, Regulatory, QA, Finance, Tender Office) to have a solid understanding of the local business health status and prepare the ground to build the Regional/Area S&OP review

  • Build a solid and trustful collaboration with the Global and Area Supply & Demand colleagues and with the peers in the other affiliates

  • Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting

  • Define organization-wide metrics and relevant data sources

  • Select, configure and implement analytics solutions

  • Oversee all analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality

  • Extract report combining different sources (ie Demand & Logistics, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Tender Office, etc.)

  • Build a system to transform raw data into actionable business insights

  • Build and maintain a company dashboard including the critical performance indicators to drive the business combining lagging and leading indicators

  • Support the information interpretation to take effective and efficient business decisions to drive our affiliate performance

  • Challenge the current business set up and define potential scenarios to build the organization of the future to lead the nutrition business

  • Keep complexity low

  • Drive accountability, effective decision‐making and empowerment to the lowest level possible

  • Act in full coherence with the local law, Abbott policies and proactively respecting legal and OEC procedures
