We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Team Lead to provide guidance and work leveling for a team of indirect employees. This position is a functional role that includes oversight and guidance to the indirect employees for this group. This position is responsible for ensuring all employees in this group remain on task and are always following their processes. This position also includes responsibility for Shipping & Receiving.
Responsibilities:
Ensure staff are level loaded throughout the shift for area of responsibility
Primary contact point for other functional roles and leaders
Troubleshoot issues as they arise during shift
Assist management in staff assessments, assignments, team training, and projects
Assist management in developing improvement strategies and execution plans
Support team empowerment and lead by example
Work with team to complete shop floor execution tasks if applicable
Perform Material Movements both physically and systematically
Other tasks as assigned
Work with team to complete Shipping & Receiving execution tasks
Assure timely receipt and shipment of products, including international and DG
Cross functional communication with Regulatory, Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning, and others as required
Timely returns processing if applicable
Maintain a neat and safe work environment
Operate material handling equipment
Including potential use of forklifts or other equipment with appropriate training and/or certification
Must work over time as required for business needs
Support all initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned
Your experience(s), education and knowledge:
High School Graduate or GED required
2+ years’ college preferred
4+ years’ experience in related disciplines required
General proficiencies in Microsoft Office (required) and SAP (preferred)
A wide and comprehensive understanding of the general and specific aspects of the position, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered required
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
