Do you have a passion for Digital Marketing? The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing global digital marketing strategies designed to drive awareness, engagement and behavior change among HCPs to contribute to revenue growth across Abbott’s entire Vascular portfolio.

This role requires you to have a deep understanding industry-leading capabilities and technologies in digital marketing, as well hands-on experience successfully running email marketing, website marketing and other digital channels. The role will help Abbott to establish foundational capabilities in email marketing and digital strategy planning, creation, deployment, and optimization. You will work closely with cross-divisional marketing stakeholders and lead key agency relationships and contractors to create and maintain digital programs to ensure the Abbott's digital investments yield positive business impact. You will help build out digital capabilities within a globally-recognized medical device leader, so agility, passion, and lots of cross-functional capability and curiosity will make you an ideal fit for this group.

Digital Strategy

  • Lead digital marketing strategic recommendations as well as planning and execution of multichannel digital strategies tied to key commercial objectives

  • Define the future roadmap for division digital marketing tools, processes and protocols.

  • Operationalize digital strategy efforts to scale efforts across teams and regions

  • Serve as the in-house SME for email marketing and CRM including establishing governance/compliance, program strategy, content strategy, segmentation, and relevant analytics.

  • Derive actionable insight from analytics tools to constantly test and optimize our content; include A/B testing when applicable.

  • Own media agency and other vendor relationships that apply to content creation and deployment.

Email and CRM marketing

  • Support the marketing team in delivering an enhanced CRM strategy across the customer lifecycle by optimizing email operations (materials, processes, systems, and data)

  • Coordinate campaigns from end to end, including the building and delivery of emails through a 3rd party ESP. Success in this will be seen through an improvement in automated email campaigns, e.g. lead nurture campaigns

  • Run Abbott’s Vascular email program, including regular, lifecycle and triggered campaigns to improve the visibility and impact email activities

  • Share insights and regular reports of email and CRM performance

Required skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Business, or a creative discipline

  • 8+ years of global digital marketing to include 6+ years executing digital marketing plans to include best practices in email marketing, content development, social media, SEO, dynamic/video content, and campaign planning.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to build and generate reports from marketing platforms to support marketing and sales needs.

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed, large company environment where employees are expected to influence across teams

  • Ability to perform well, even when stretched, cope with tight deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong passion to succeed, contagious energy and focus on having fun in the process

  • Proficiency with email marketing automation platforms - Marketo certification highly preferred. You will have experience crafting and testing content marketing programs based on your insights from analytics and experience.

  • Knowledge of SFDC integration with marketing automation highly preferred

  • Experience with a broad range of additional platforms is strongly desired. You will be able to understand key business drivers and to develop appropriate strategies to address specific business needs.
