Position Summary

This is a field sales position selling Abbott Diabetes Care’s consumer products, including Abbott’s revolutionary FreeStyle Libre Continuous Glucose Monitoring System.

This individual will:

  • Meet or exceed sales quotas/objectives for ADC Products.

  • Collaborate with Managed Care and Retail and Point of Care representatives.

  • Establish strong relationships with a broad base of internal and external health care constituents (e.g., physicians, nurses, pharmacists, CDEs, etc.) acting in a friendly, respectful, adaptive manner and focusing on the needs and interests of others.

  • Keep current on internal and competitive products and positioning by utilizing a variety of resources.

  • Understand and convey information professionally and accurately.

  • Effectively plan for and follow through with short and long term results based on business trends by developing plans that include goals, action plans, time frames and the appropriate resources.

  • Keep current in market trends and competitors’ strategy.

Main Responsibilities

Conveying information clearly and concisely that conveys ideas.

Answers questions and responds to others and listens carefully to understand the message.

Positions products and services using appropriate resources and confident, convincing logic.

Tailoring sales approach to meet customer needs by utilizing appropriate resources.

Handling disagreements and objections by exploring perspectives and tactfully addressing them.

Develops and implements plans (e.g., territory, account and call) that include goals, action plans, time frames and resources.

Regularly tracks and reports progress against plan, redirecting efforts as necessary.

Completes all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely fashion.

Schedules daily, weekly and monthly activities utilizing MyADC.com call reporting / tracking system.

Maintain accountability for all samples in accordance with Division guidelines.

Work within quality guidelines established for compliance.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Accountability

Sales growth of territory, Market Share and RXs.

Fully knowledgeable on products and customer needs.

Teamwork with representatives in other channels corroboration of ideas and sales strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) required. Minimum of 2-4 years’ previous experience with commendable sales track record from previous positions preferable in health care industry. Excellent communication skills, high energy, integrity and ambition to succeed.

This position may be hired at different levels, depending on the experience of the candidate.
