Sr. National Account Specialist-Retail Sales will have retail sales responsibilities to grow a portion of the Abbott Nutrition portfolio at Costco. This role will be part of the Seattle based sales team which manages one of Abbott Nutrition’s largest and growing retail customers. This role will require ongoing identification of growth opportunities and strong collaboration with the customer and internal resources across brand marketing teams, finance, supply chain, category management, shopper marketing, etc and will have responsibility for sales presentations and buy-in, sales analytics, demand planning/ forecasting, program reconciliation and ecommerce/


Account Management:

  • Develop and implement short and long-term strategic and tactical business plans.

  • Conduct on-going internal and external account business reviews to measure, evaluate and present sales performance; and provide annually on future growth opportunities.

  • Develop & assist National Account Managers with development of presentations for key initiatives

Financial Predictability/ Forecasting:

  • Primary point of contact for planning and forecasting.

  • Advise on forecast related matters and coordinate meeting review with NAM/Analyst for each BU

  • Conducts financial review/monthly tracking for given account with Team Lead and/or Director

E-commerce Liaison:

  • Maintain in-depth understanding of current status of e-commerce at Costco

  • Able to work between Abbott and Costco on e-commerce needs


  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • 2-3 years relevant work experience, retail sales experience strongly desired (either internally or externally)

  • Working knowledge of sales management systems, forecasting & budgeting

  • Working knowledge of syndicated data & customer POS systems

  • Strong analytical abilities and experience working in excel

  • Skilled verbal & written communication both internally & externally

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and complex situations

  • Ability to build strong relationships
