Primary Job Function:
Leads APAC market insights initiatives as an integral member of the regional marketing team, delivering insights that drive marketing activities and portfolio expansion. Discovering HCP and Patient unmet and future needs, combined with the ability to translate secondary market data into meaningful insights and trends is a critical capability for this role.
Acts as the center of expertise and knowledge of secondary market data (predominantly IMS audit data), being the main contact point for the organization’s secondary market data needs.
Collaborates cross-functionally and with the countries in driving insights-based marketing strategy development & executions.
Serves as the voice of the Doctor and Patient, and provides Local/Regional perspective to support the development of regional marketing strategies and initiatives
Establishes and drives a culture of HCP and Patient based performance evaluation to improve ROI on marketing investments
Core Job Responsibilities:
Delivers quarterly Market Overview & Brand Performance reports, dashboards to regional & country leadership team
Understands and interprets a range of available secondary market data to uncover HCP and Patient trends
Works in partnership with regional Business Development & Marketing colleagues in assessing new opportunities, using available secondary market data
Identifies, reviews secondary data sources to complement existing secondary market data subscription
Recommends & designs primary market research plans against business objectives, timelines and budget for the regional/local markets
Selects and evaluates external research suppliers and negotiates key research contracts
Manages supplier/agency relationships from proposal generation through analysis and reporting
HCP and Patient insight generation and application and contribution to Best Practice
Collaborates with Global Market Insights team in delivering insights for the region
Conducts in-house market research in collaboration with local marketing and sales teams
Manages secondary data subscription, data suppliers and deliverables including ensuring data integrity, and alignment of market definition
Collaborates with & supports Global Market Insights on strategic global projects within the area of market insights
Supports strategic projects of regional office beyond market insights, driving value-added initiatives to the regional office and countries
Graduate degree with functional market insights experience. English business fluent.
5 to 10 years marketing research experience including a combination of primary and secondary research
At least 3 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and/or OTC.
Experience across a broad range of qualitative, online, digital and quantitative research techniques
Ability to understand, interpret and synthesize data. Experience with secondary market data such as IMS would be a strong plus
Experience in category management/ marketing desirable
Ability to maintain an objective point of view that is customer centric and data driven
Confident and comfortable working in a cross-functional environment
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem solving abilities.
Ability to implement/execute initiatives effectively and with fiscal responsibility.
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and advise executive leadership
Strong business and financial acumen.
