Abbott Regional Demand Analyst in Singapore, Singapore

Job Purpose and Scope:

  • Responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in demand reporting, forecasting and operations for affiliates under the SEAHAWK Region (SEA, Korea, Taiwan and Hongkong)

  • Responsible for demand and inventory process by driving the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, Demand Management Review (DMR), Forecast Accuracy, New Product Introduction and Demand Strategy for the SEAHAWK affiliates

Core Job Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and lead IBP submission

  • Work with countries to build and consolidate country demand at SKU level

  • Complete DMR deck and align with management on forecasts for submission

  • Highlight and investigate exceptions ( e.g. unusual trends, seasonal demand, supply issues, etc.)

  • Provide in-market/to-market data and inventory analysis.

  • Facilitate gap analysis versus financial forecasts under IBP process

  • Prepare and communicate timely Affiliate Demand Report to Area

  • Ensure available inventory for sale; managing backorders and stock allocation

  • Ensure adequate level of inventory in the distribution channel and flag exceptionally low or high levels of inventory in the channels for discussion and resolution

  • Manage publication and ensure integrity of data in all related systems (Logility and local DMR / Finance models).

  • Participate in policy and procedure elaboration regarding IBP, Demand Management, Master Planning Schedule, Safety Stock, Customer Service Goals, Delivery Time to Customers and Time Fences.

  • Track assigned KPIs by Area or Corporate; provide analysis and recommendations to Management in order to improve affiliate performance.

  • New Product Introduction

  • Coordinate and support New Product Introduction (NPI) process.

  • Coordinate NPI review and communicate the status of projects via IBP.

  • Facilitate financial analysis for new product launches.

  • Ensure clear communication between the planning centers with Global, Area and country affiliates

  • Ensure clear communication between major customers / distributors and the organization.


  • Support inventory management in Affiliates

  • Work with Affiliates to review supply plan issued by Global Supply team to identify supply gaps in supporting demand plan.

  • Work with Order Management team on shipment schedule and prioritization, open POs reconciliation etc

  • Work with freight forwarders and/or warehouse team to track shipment/receiving status.

  • Review Affiliates/Distributor inventory DOH and highlight excess/short-dated stocks for disposition to facilitate cash flow improvement.

  • Review and raise Supply Change Request within planning window.

  • Facilitate Supply Risk Analysis (SRA) (short term supply operations plan) for Affiliates and Division.

  • Provide feedback on data accuracy in Global opening inventory report and supply plan, drive to close issues which cause data inaccuracy.

  • Provide feedback on Supply Exception report to Order Management team.

  • Act as site co-ordinator for Singapore

  • Responsible for the maintenance of import and export records for ADC Singapore.

  • Represent ADC Singapore in SOP review.

  • Support audit activities as requested.


  • Work with countries to ensure customer POs are received and processed on time

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a demand planning and/or supply chain role.

  • Maintain proper records and log of customer POs

  • Work with countries to ensure supply POs are received and processed on time

  • Perform backorder reporting

  • Complete paperwork or files to transfer, write off or adjust stock as needed

  • Review and reallocate supply for Libre products under SRA exercise

Minimum Skills Required:

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or Accounting.

  • In-depth understanding of supply chain operations (demand/supply planning, logistic).

  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts, including profit and loss statement

  • Strong teamwork and analytical skills.

  • Willing to learn and develop.

  • Meticulous and organized.

  • Self-starter who takes initiative to make a difference.

  • Strong follow-up skills.

  • Excellent MS Office, ERP and Database skills.

  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong compliance and ethical behavior.
