  • Negotiates supplier agreements which are not managed by the commodity management teams, within established limitations and scope of authority to obtain the most favorable business partnerships, including but not limited to quality, availability and cost.

  • Plans and schedules deliveries to optimize inventories in support of production schedules/business demands/product launch schedules by working with planning teams and product development teams.

  • Reviews purchase requirements and confers with suppliers to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule. Reviews and negotiates quotes in alignment with business needs and competitive strategies.

  • Partners with Supplier Quality Engineers and suppliers to improve product quality. Processes supplier returns in support of quality requirements.

  • Participates in product development teams in support of launch schedules.

  • Fosters mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers for continuous improvement. Monitors supplier performance, communicates and takes action to improve or maintain high levels of supplier performance.

  • Maintains and updates ERP system with part and/or supplier information. Reviews/approves component change orders in support of business requirements.

  • Generates highly complex reports and performs data analysis to proactively plan or resolve issues.

  • Works with Accounts Payable / Inventory Management / Receiving / Suppliers to resolve issues.

  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, including, but not limited to, leading and/or participating in project teams, as assigned.
