We are seeking an experienced Operation Project Manager. This position will manage operations projects of medium scope, or a significant subsection of a large program. Leads cross-functional teams across multiple manufacturing locations to develop and execute strategies for introduction of products to new or different manufacturing sites and/or transition non- manufacturing functions from a site slated for closure to the permanent ownership site. Manages matrixed resources to ensure projects meet their agreed upon milestones and deliverables. Represents the project to the organization, reports core team progress, recommendations, risks, and resolutions of issues to senior leadership.

Impact this role will have on Abbott:
Lead core teams towards project objectives
Apply a specialized set of project management tools to efficiently guide a cross functional core team through the New Product Introduction process
Partner seamlessly with Quality and Regulatory functions to optimize validation and regulatory strategies in alignment with project objectives
Communicates with all levels of the organization, from operators on the floor to senior leadership in order to represent the objectives, risks, and needs for the project.
Lead activities across numerous functions to meet the objectives of a given project including scope, budget, and schedule.
In partnership with the project champions and fellow core team members,
Develop comprehensive project plans, which identify objectives, strategy, risks/risk mitigation, budget, effort estimates and schedule.
Identifies opportunities for improving overall operational efficiency.
Develops plans with core members to eliminate and/or mitigate risk. If risks cannot be mitigated within the core team, determines appropriate means to communicate and elevate issues to appropriate individuals within the organization.
In partnership with the project champions, identifies opportunities for improving overall performance of the program.
Work closely with functional core team leaders and mentor when necessary.
Maintains a safe and professional work environment.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Your Experiences(s), education and knowledge will further expand Abbott’s marketplace success
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science discipline or equivalent
2 years of progressively responsible experience in engineering or related technical discipline
2 years’ experience leading projects in a medical device, biomedical or high technology industry
Ability to work in a matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, including internationally.
