Abbott Marketing Manager in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Description of Position
To provide the Marketing Team with the leadership and direction to achieve sales, local margin and market share goals, future direction for new products and business opportunities and to facilitate an environment that encourages and recognizes success and results of both team and individual levels.
Core job responsibilities:
- MARKETING, SALES AND DIVISION MARGIN PERFORMANCE
1.1. Achieve annual sales and division margin plan and updates for the division.
1.2. Participate to all alterations to pricing, conditions, credit terms and special deals.
1.3. Maximize the profitability of the products within scope of responsibility.
1.4. Plan New product Introduction (NPI) according to Division NPI report. Coordinate successful launch processes of new products according to launch plan dates.
1.5. Coordinate the preparation of annual marketing plans and individual product strategies for launched and new products.
1.6. Coordinate issuing of proposed forecast each month with suggested action plans to achieve the proposed forecast with PMs.
1.7. Coordinate product promotional cycles to minimize the utilization of resources. Review promotional budget, coordinate changes as required and communicate at proposed forecast stage.
1.8. Benchmark industry practices (competitors) and other affiliates marketing programs.
1.9. Control and coordinate the development of marketing programs and implementation through the field force and agencies.
1.10. Participate in pre S&OP review monthly (Demand Review).
1.11. Ensure forecast entry to Manujistics.
1.12. Achieve & maintain KPIs at Class A level.
1.13. Ensure work location accuracy of responsible areas.
1.14. Transmit to the Medical Department any information about the use the medicinal products with particular reference to any adverse reactions reported to them during visits.
- STRATEGIC FOCUS
2.1. Develop and review the LRP of the products annually. Prepare strategic plans to maximize opportunities or avoid negative impact.
2.2. Coordinate market research activities with Market Research Manager and follow up industry trends and changes in healthcare reforms that will impact the business favorably or unfavorably.
2.3. Implement and monitor the standardization of planning procedures for PMs and their communication to supporting departments.
2.4. Establish corporate partnerships (in licensing, co-marketing or/and co-promotion). Foster and leverage business growth of existing corporate partnerships for products within the scope of responsibility.
2.5. Take necessary actions in NPI process to support NPI timeline.
- OPINION LEADER DEVELOPMENT
3.1. Develop and maintain rapport with key opinion leaders in the market place to identify trends, competitor activities and new opportunities.
3.2. Ensure marketing team works in the field with individual representatives both for personal development and solid feedback of the strategies.
3.3. Spend required time in the field as defined in the Strategic Plan.
- PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
4.1 Ensure the effective implementation and follow up of Performance Excellence Program for subordinates:
-Provide direction to facilitate goal setting process in line with Corporate and Division goals; monitor progress; measure results; reward incentive/ merit payments; performance appraisals.
-Select or approve the selection and training of staff. Establish lines of control and delegate responsibility appropriately.
-Develop subordinates to facilitate succession planning.
-Develop, update and maintain position descriptions as required for relevant staff within the division.
Ensure realization of the core job responsibilities.
-Select and interview new recruits to the team according to the company’s recruitment & selection process.
-Effectively use orientation tools in order to orient people who are newly joint to the team.
-Prepare training and growth plan for each direct report; plan and follow up trainings.
Contributes directly to the department's revenue, by managing the product.
Reports to Country Manager.
Education: University degree preferably in Marketing, Business Administration or a Medical field.
Experience: Preferably at least 4 years of Sales and/or Marketing management experience within Abbott or in an associated company within Health Care Industry.
Fluency in English, efficient Computer Skills.
