Summary:

Performs a wide variety of electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Set up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines. May perform other tasks including, but not limited to; placing labels on packages, and putting data sheets with product.-(Southern California)

Responsibilities:

Assembles, repairs, inspect and/or test products following written instructions.. 2.

Set up and operates a variety of machines following written instructions.. 3.

Clean tools and equipment per documented procedures.. 4.

Record information on approved documents.. 5.

Dispose hazardous waste material on corresponding hazardous waste areas.. 6.

Resolve problems and make routine recommendations.. 7.

Train other employees when necessary.. 8.

Maintain all certifications required to remain in compliance.

Initiates or maintains work schedule.

Establishes priorities of work assignments.; 6. (Decision Making/Impact) Solves a wide range of complex problems requiring advanced interpretation of generally defined procedures and practices.

Selects methods and practices to obtain imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions to questions.

Qualifications:

H.S. diploma or equivalent plus 4+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Two-year degree or some college credits preferred. (Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills)) Applies solid knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and a complete understanding fundamentals in a functional area, and working knowledge of other related disciplines. Will perform this job in a quality system environment.; 3. (Cognitive Skills) Performs complex assignments usually without established procedures. Assignments require considerable judgment, initiative, creativity and leadership in troubleshooting, suggesting alternatives, and making recommendations for continuous quality improvement.
