Abbott Corporate Planning Specialist in Tokyo, Japan
Responsible for designing and driving analytics and strategic cross-organization initiatives with a goal of supporting Business Units in maximizing the sales growth opportunities and ensuring the sales force effectiveness.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Take leadership in designing and executing corporate-wide strategic initiatives working directly and closely with Head of Abbott Medical Japan as well as Business Unit Heads.
This will include everything from budgeting, sales planning, target segmentation, distributor management/negotiations, channel strategy, organizational redesign to IT enablers as described below.
Work with the leadership team including Finance to draft annual budget and mid-term business plan. Provide analysis and input where necessary.
Develop reporting mechanism and Key Performance Indicators for sales force to ensure efficient sales management and visibility / transparency of sales activities.
Support Business Units in developing their customer segmentation framework and initiatives to target relevant target segments.
Develop strategy to win market share from competition. Develop means to monitor activities and progress.
Review and redesign distributor/channel and pricing/incentive strategy. Develop ways to strategically evaluate and select distributors, design area/regional distributor strategy, change traditional pricing and incentive programs for the distributors.
Engage in price negotiations with major distributors.
Assess implementation of IT infrastructure and equipment to support sales planning and activities. Design company’s requirements and drive development and implementation.
